It's not right

I needed to get in the kitchen at The Flower Shop this morning, which is usually a $21 to $23 fare plus tip but since it was drizzling, the price surged. I walked out of my building and about 15 other people were experiencing the same rage in the common area outside. Some people without umbrellas just smashed the confirm and ran towards some variation of Toyota while those with umbrellas walked in circles trying to see if the price would go down 20 feet away.

I walked South through the lobby to see if that would help and it went up two dollars. This enraged me and despite my very urgent need and desire to be at work dry, I refused to reward a business that uses my personal information to squeeze me in a moment of need.

When there are natural disasters like a hurricane, there’s always some hapless mayor out on front street telling small business owners that they will persecute them to the fullest extent of the law for price gouging! We understand how inhumane and civilized it is to price gouge people in moments of need or difficulty but why should it require an act of God to decry this type of business?
